Inexpensive vs high-end Outdoor Kitchen Designs

Inexpensive vs high-end Outdoor Kitchen Designs

Most homeowners make a purchasing decision based on three factors: they want the best quality product, the highest level of performance and the lowest possible price. But what you really want is the best value for your money.

What are you prepared to give up for long-term happiness? Low-cost companies won’t be able to offer you quality products with a high level of performance. High-quality products offering superior performance come at a higher price.

Companies that make cheap outdoor kitchens skimp on material quality, very thin thicknesses and very basic finishes, so their durability over time will be very low. They are consumer products designed to be replaced quickly.

If you’re looking for a top-of-the-range outdoor kitchen with an impressive design, great weather resistance and the best cooking performance, allowing you to cook like in a Michelin-starred restaurant, Fesfoc is your brand.

How much Space does an Outdoor Kitchen Need?

When designing your outdoor kitchen, the first thing to do is determine how much space you want to allocate to this element. Bear in mind that your summer kitchen is generally a permanent element, which you won’t be able to move around, as it’s normally equipped with fixed water and drainage, electricity and gas installations.

Once you’ve determined the space available for your outdoor kitchen, and whether you want a linear, L-shaped or U-shaped kitchen, your outdoor kitchen design is determined by the outdoor furniture and appliances you wish to incorporate

For example: a charcoal or gas barbecue should be placed in a 120 cm cabinet. Electric barbecues, depending on their size, should be placed in a 60 cm or 120 cm cabinet. Outdoor refrigerators take up 60 cm, while dishwashers can measure 45 cm or 60 cm. A sink can be placed in a 60 cm, 90 cm or 120 cm cabinet, depending on its size.

How to Determine Your Outdoor Kitchen Dimensions

As you choose each piece of equipment for your outdoor kitchen design, the length of your summer kitchen increases, so you can determine the total length of your outdoor kitchen and, depending on the space you have available, you’ll have to choose whether to place certain elements or others.

For example: many customers ask us for 2.4 m long kitchens and a gas barbecue, refrigerator, sink and dishwasher. If you add up all these elements, you get a 3 m kitchen, so you only have 2.4 m, and you’ll have to choose between the fridge and the dishwasher.

What you Should Have in Your Outdoor Kitchen?

According to our specialist team, storage is one of the most underestimated features of an outdoor kitchen.

Low-end outdoor kitchens usually feature basic furniture that isn’t very aesthetic, but is practical.

Now, the entire surface of your summer kitchen can be made up of large-capacity units, similar in design to luxury indoor kitchens, but made from materials designed to withstand the elements and allow outdoor appliances to function properly, maximizing storage space and making your outdoor kitchen design more comfortable and practical.

How to Optimize storage in your outdoor kitchen

Don’t forget that an outdoor kitchen needs to be ergonomic and functional. You don’t want to have to go in and out of the house looking for your food and cooking utensils. Make sure you have built-in storage in your outdoor kitchen!

All our Fesfoc outdoor kitchens are equipped with large-capacity designer cabinets, with smooth doors and shelves or with large-format, full-extraction drawers, so you’ll never run out of space and can store all the items you’ll need to cook and prepare your favorite recipes for the ultimate outdoor experience.
